Margão Porcelain Large Salad Bowl by Vista Alegre

Scalloped corners and a generous body distinguish the Margão large porcelain salad bowl. Blue floral sprigs decorate the white form, giving a shared salad a clear place among the collection’s plates.

“I would leave the last few inches at the rim free when filling a serving bowl, making it easier for guests to help themselves neatly.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
