Margão Porcelain Large Museum Salad Bowl by Vista Alegre
Margão’s Large Museum porcelain salad bowl spreads its blue floral pattern across a low, shaped form. The scalloped outline gives the serving bowl a distinctive profile within a blue-and-white service.
“I am drawn to this lower serving shape when the table already has taller vessels; the different heights make the arrangement feel more relaxed.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
